Release of VE12U PASTeUR package
October 23th 2021
We are very proud to release the new version of our PASTeUR package for Magnetom Terra systems. Our goal is to bring calibration free parallel transmission solutions with homogeneous excitation throughout the brain using the Nova 8Tx/32Rx coil. We are willing to share the package with other clinical research laboratories and evaluate the potential benefit for the clinic.
At the moment, the package contains a set of 3D non selective sequences. However, we are working on expanding it with slab selective 3D acquisitions as well as 2D sequences.

Iseult Magnet reaching 11.7T

Thanks to the IRFU team at CEA, the Iseult magnet reached its nominal magnetic field for the first time : 11.7Tesla.
MR Methodological developments at NeuroSpin
As a research engineer at NeuroSpin, I'm part of a MR Methodological team that develops advanced techniques for ultra-high field MR imaging. Our ultimate goal is to bring solutions to our end users, i.e. the clinicians and the neuroscientists.
Research interests
- Parallel transmission at 7T : We developped a package of 3D anatomical sequences that integrate the so-called Universal Pulses to bring pTx closer to the clinic. These sequences do not need calibration scans nor pulse design pre-processing and manage to homogenize the signal throughout the brain. Sequences available within this package are : 3D-GRE, MPRAGE, MP2RAGE, T2w-SPACE, FLAIR, DIR. This package is available for classic Siemens 7T (VB17 software) as well as for Terra systems on C2P request.
